Good Quality

1. Good make. The base needs to be reinforced with more padding and rubber feet would protect the camera if the bag is placed on stone / concrete floor carelessly. ( I put the camera sideways with the lens attached, so it is ready to shoot )
2. Also make an upgraded version with Tumi like material.
3. Olive colour should be darker and more saturated, like an army olive.
4. A camouflage version should be good too.

Good Quality

If you ask me whether it’s a great bag, I’ll say YESSS, but is it perfect? Not quite.

So, my first thoughts on the bag is that the bag looks great, feels great and it’s very spacious . I knew it wasn’t 6L — it’s just maths, basic maths tbh (no idea how they skipped this). The outer fabric is exactly what I expected — definitely water-resistant. My other higher-end bags use the same fabric, so that’s great.

The inner separators could’ve been better though. If they were covered with that felt or Alcantara-type material, it would’ve felt a lot more premium in my opinion. The laptop compartment fits my 12.1” OnePlus Pad 2 with the keyboard really, really well. The back pocket has enough space to keep my filters, and the battery compartment is good too. The straps feel really solid and hold my tripod snugly, which I love. There’s even some level of expandability in the bag — I wouldn’t recommend overdoing it, but if you’re trying to fit slightly taller lenses, it’ll work out fine.

Now, onto the cons. I’d definitely prefer having the battery and SD card compartments on the flap itself. That way, I could keep my umbrella on the other side — because yes, I still get thirsty in the rain and need room for a water bottle too. The straps are great, but I don’t like the plastics used — the quality and finish could’ve been better also i would prefer to have name brand zippers and not carrypro branded zippers, the zippers are great its just about faith i guess if i see ykk on my zippers i just know they are great. The main sling strap could use a sliding pad or at least longer padding, because it doesn’t sit perfectly on my 6'2" frame. The strap just isn’t long enough, so I might end up swapping it for another one. The handle also doesn’t feel particularly comfortable or assuring, but it works. The trolley passthrough feature is a nice touch though.

Like I said in the title — it’s not a perfect sling. But Carry Pro has done a really great job for a first-gen product, and for the price (even without considering the price), it’s genuinely a great sling bag.
